History has proved what we knew then!
Each generation has stimuli and associations which are specific to their youth.When we listen to an Elvis song, we are transported back in time. But when we hear a new modern genre, we shake our heads and can't understand what all the fuss is about. Back to Elvis ... we knew it then ... and history has proved us right. What has history proved? ... (click to view or hide answer) Fifties Fads, Fashions, Slang ... Elvis, Songs, Cars ... and much more  This is a fabulous site for 1950's memorabilia. Don't be surprised if you find yourself absorbed for hours, telling tall tales and old war stories to your family and friends, and incorporating 1950's slang into your emails. There's a CHALLENGING thought. Maybe you could write a story using as much slang from the 1950's as possible. We would love to post it here or see it as a piece in our Magee59 Collaborative Blog.
